Why I’m Stepping Back Slightly From Blogging

blogging

Hello Everyone!!

For those of you who have faithfully read my blog over the years, thank you so much! I definitely plan on continuing to blog, but you might have noticed the blogs are coming a little less frequently lately.  Here’s why.

My husband and I have been praying for direction for me for a while. I have my hands in a lot of different hats, as a Mom of two, a Lead Pastors wife, a part time graduate school student, a small business owner, a blogger -both personally and for Our Daily Bread, a woman who needs to stay sane and first and foremost a follower of Jesus Christ who needs to devote herself to pursuing Him.

I have decided to step back slightly from some of the above auxiliary hats (for whenever you say “yes” to one thing, you automatically are saying “no” to another), to pursue my dream, and something that I truly have felt called to by the Lord for years, but because of fear, not trusting in His leading, and saying yes to too many other things, I have pushed it aside. So……

I have finally started writing a book, y’all! 🙂

I tell you this for three main reasons.

First, this is the reason why personal blogging is starting to take a little more of a back seat, for I know this is no quick endeavor.

Second, I know many of you don’t know me, but many of you also do know me and have faithfully walked alongside of me for years. For both categories of people, I covet your prayers. I am writing regarding a topic I am extremely passionate about, and I feel is void desperately needing to be filled. Please pray that I am faithful to the Lords calling. That I continue to write for reasons that honor our Savior. That He guides me with every word I write, and whether this book is ever published or not that it is used for man’s good and God’s glory.

Third, keep me accountable, friends 🙂 Ask me if I’m saying no to enough things so that I can say “yes” to those things which God has called me to.

We only have one life to live, friends. What seemingly impossible dream or calling has God impressed upon you that you keep minimizing. Do you realize how big our God is? Nothing He is calling you to is impossible. His answer at the end of your faithfulness may look different than you hoped for, but walking according to His leading will never return void. That I can promise you.
